As noted by Alexey Rozorenov, Head, Bank ZENIT Retail Banking Department, «a rapid growth of these indicators reflects the Bank's new strategic priorities in the retail business».
In 2004, the Bank successfully introduced a range of retail lending programmes in Moscow and a few other Russian regions, including express, consumer, auto and mortgage loans. Since autumn 2004, the Bank has been implementing a unique project - VISA System of Values credit card - which combines the functions of the credit, fuel and discount cards. In December 2004, Bank ZENIT started issuing consumer loans for purchases at Tri Kita, the Moscow largest trade centre. According to Mr. Rozorenov, «in 2005, a broad line of retail lending programs in regions services by the Bank will reach the designed capacity».
