Kirill Shpigun is Appointed the President by Shareholders of ZENIT Bank
The annual General Meeting of the Shareholders held on June 3, 2005 in Moscow and chaired by Alexey Sokolov, resolved to appoint Kirill Shpigun as the Chairman of the Board.
In compliance with the decision made by the shareholders, an application to approve this nominee will be sent to MGTU of the Bank of Russia. Following the receipt of the positive resolution of the MGTU of the Bank of Russia, Kirill Shpigun will be considered appointed as the President.
This decision was made after Alexey Sokolov, leading the bank management for long ten years, had been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The General Meeting also approved the Annual Bank Operating Report and accounting report for 2004. According to these documents the stock of the Bank was 6.977 billion rubles, net profit - 1.038 billion of rubles, assets - 48,929 billions.
New Board of Directors was elected as follows: I.G. Avanesyan, I.G. Garifullin, S. Gosh, D. Cox, A.I. Kravchenko, N.U. Maganov, A.I. Proshechkin, A.A. Sokolov, E.P. Sulimov, Sh.F. Takhautdinov, E.A. Tikhturov, V.F. Fyedorov, S.A. Feldman, G.R. Fletcher, S.V. Chelyadin.
Moreover, Energy-Consulting was approved as the Bank's audit company for 2005.
Information about K.O. Shpigun, nominated at the post of the President of the Bank Zenit:
Kirill Olegovich Shpigun was born on January 21, 1970 in Moscow. IN 1992 he graduated from the School of Mathematics and Cybernetics of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, specialization in applied mathematics. Mr. Shpigun had worked at the Institute of Applied Mathematics named after M.V. Keldysh for two years aafter he had graduated from the University.
Since 1994 he has been working at the Russian Federal Department of Currency and Export Control, where he was promoted from a leading expert to the Head of the Analytical Department. Concurrently with work at the Department Mr. Shpigun studied at the Financial Academy under Government of the RF at the Banking School.
In 1997 Mr. Shpigun commenced his work for ZENIT Bank as the Head of the Currency Control Department.
In 2002 he was appointed as a Deputy Chairman of the Board.
