Bank ZENIT Initiated Transactions in American Express Travellers' Cheques
Bank ZENIT has been conducting transactions in American Express Travellers' cheques since 20 May. The Bank offers cheques in US dollars and euros.
A travellers' cheque is a payment instrument which substitutes for cash. It is a convenient and secure way to store and use money abroad. Travellers' cheques can be bought for foreign cash and roubles. In addition to the Moscow-based offices, transactions in travellers' cheques will be conducted in the Bank's regional subsidiaries.
Bank ZENIT charges a US dollar fee of 0.7 to 1% (depending on the transaction amount) on cheque sale and 1.5% on cheque purchase. The cheque acquisition fees shall be paid in roubles at the CBR's exchange rate.
