OJSC Bank ZENIT launched Syndicated Trade Related Finance Facility of USD 218,000,000
OJSC Bank ZENIT today announced that it has launched USD 218,000,000 Syndicated Trade Related Finance Facility. The loan proceeds will be used to finance foreign trade operations of its clients.
The Mandated Lead Arrangers of the Facility are Bayerische Landesbank («BayernLB»), Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft («Commerzbank»), Erste Bank der oesterreichischen Sparkasse AG («Erste»), Landesbank Berlin AG («LBB») и Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG («RZB»). The loan has been raised at the interest rate of LIBOR + 1.45% for 1 year.
The facility was launched on 24 April 2008 at US$ 150,000,000. Due to the very positive response from the market, the deal was oversubscribed by almost 50% and the facility amount increased accordingly.

THE BORROWER
OJSC Bank ZENIT was established in December of 1994 by the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation, Tatneft oil company and a number of other legal entities. One of its major lines of operation is the full-scale corporate services. Bank ZENIT is widely involved in the development and promotion of retail services. The Bank is a strong player in the market of investment services and private banking. Bank ZENIT is currently rated Bа3/Stable by Moody's and B/Positive by Fitch.
As an active debt market player, Bank ZENIT arranged 7 international syndicated loans, 2 Eurobond issues (the debut issue was repaid in 2006) и 4 ruble bond issues (the debut issue was repaid in 2007).
ZENIT Banking Group was formed in 2005 as a result of the purchase by Bank ZENIT of a controlling interest in JSB Devon-Credit (OJSC). Devon-Credit is one of the leaders in the market of the retail and corporate banking services in the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2007, the Banking Group absorbed OJSC Lipetskkombank and JSB Sochigazprombank LLC (later renamed into Bank ZENIT Sochi).
