Russian Corporate Bonds

Corporate bonds are becoming one of the most attractive and promising instruments of the Russian financial market. Over the past two years, more than 40 companies issued new securities, and the total value of the securities that have or are planned to be placed exceeds 45 billion rubles. The issuers represent different fields of operation: oil and gas companies, Russian monopolies, metals, banks, etc.

A shortage of instruments with acceptable yields and a large amount of uncommitted bank funds compel investors to look for new investment instruments, the corporate bonds offering:

  • Better investment portfolio quality through effective diversification;
  • Participation in financing of highly liquid borrowers, which considerably lowers risks;
  • Greater investment portfolio management efficiencies through the possibility of selling the paper on the secondary market.

Considering the potential of this market and the priorities of its investment banking business, ZENIT Bank acts as an active player on the corporate bond market.

With its extensive experience in arranging share issues and IPOs, the Bank has undertaken a number of large projects. ZENIT Bank underwrote and arranged the issue of bonds by Tatneft, ALROSA, RITEK, SIBUR, and Bashkreditbank, and acted as a financial consultant of MGTS. As one of the largest Russian banks, ZENITH Bank seeks to assume leading positions on the stock market and performs the following transactions involving corporate bonds:

  • Buy-sell transactions;
  • REPO transactions;
  • Bond-secured financing;
  • Secondary market transactions;
  • Trust management services.

ZENIT Bank also offers financial consulting services, is a market maker on the securities market, and provides full service to its clients, including brokerage service to non-residents involving the «C» type of account. All that combined with coherent teamwork of ZENIT Bank specialists ensures that the Bank meets the highest professional standards of excellence.
